Climber survives 200ft fall
A climber escaped with just a broken ankle and bruises following a 200-feet fall down a Highland peak.

The 19-year-old man from Cambridge Climbing Club tumbled and slid while descending a mountain in the Cairngorms at about 1330 GMT on Saturday.

A passing member of the Glenmore Mountain Rescue team raised the alarm after witnessing his tumble from the "Goat Track" path on Coire An T'Sneachda.

With the aid of other rescue teams, which were practising in the area, the climber was rescued amid strong winds and heavy rain.

He was taken to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, where he was treated for a broken ankle and bruising.
