Motorcyclist dies in train collision
British Transport Police are investigating the death of a motorcyclist who was killed following a collision with a train on a level crossing.

The incident took place at about 1950 BST on Wednesday night at a crossing in March Road, Turves, in Cambridgeshire.

Police said the man had appeared to have weaved between the barriers before colliding with the 1820 BST Ipswich to Peterborough train.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "This is being treated as a non-suspicious death. However there will be a full inquiry, and the train and the level crossing will be thoroughly checked for any defects."

The line was blocked for several hours following the incident and there were delays between Peterborough and Ely.

Police have not released the identity of the motorcyclist.

No-one else was injured in the accident.
