Vandals torch speed camera
Burned speed camera
The camera was destroyed by fire
A speed camera on the Cambridgeshire and Suffolk border is the latest to be destroyed in an arson attack.

Police said vandals targeted a camera on the A1101 between Littleport and Mildenhall near the tiny village of Prickwillow.

A tyre filled with petrol was set on fire around the device, which caused damage estimated at 25,000.

Several cameras in the east of England have been hit by arsonists and airgun pellets over the last few months.

A fixed speed camera site costs about 40,000 to install.
