Poland's ambassador to the UK visited Bristol for the inauguration of the city's new Polish honorary consul on Monday.

Barbara Tuge-Erecinska attended the initiation of Jerzy Kubiak at an evening reception at the Polish church in Cheltenham Road.

Mr Kubiak said he already has strong links with the city's Polish community.

Ms Tuge-Erecinska was appointed as ambassador by the late President Lech Kaczynski in October 2006.
