Man wanted for defrauding Bristol women on dating sites

David Brice
Police urge anyone who sees Mr Brice not to approach him

Police are trying to trace a man wanted for defrauding women from Bristol who he met on free dating websites.

Officers said David Brice targets mature women who he befriends before persuading them to part with money, cars, laptops or mobile phones.

He has used the name Wayman in the past and has met women on sites including plentyoffish.com and smooch.com

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said it was not known how many women had been defrauded altogether.

The spokesman said he was wanted by several other police forces for similar offences and that there was a warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear in court for a driving offence.

Police believe Mr Brice may work in the motor industry or do odd jobs for cash-in-hand. He has also discussed opening a burger van in the Bristol area.

Anyone who sees Mr Brice is urged not to approach him but to contact the police.
