Burning man dies after car fire

A man who was found on fire in a burning car in Bristol has died in hospital.

Police, fire and ambulance crews responded to reports of a fire in Walter Street at about 0240 GMT.

When they arrived the man and the car were alight, a police spokesman said. The man was taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary where he later died.

Bristol CID has begun an investigation to determine what happened and has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
