Senel Mansiz
Mr Mansiz died immediately after the robbery

A safe which was stolen during an armed robbery could hold clues to the identity of the gang responsible, police have said.

Night manager Senel Mansiz, 30, had a cardiac arrest and died after the raid at M and M Catering Supplies in Avonmouth at 1930 GMT last Thursday.

Three men arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail.

Detectives said the stolen safe may have been dumped and are appealing for anyone who finds it to contact them.

Witness appeal

On Monday detectives revealed that Mr Mansiz, from the Lawrence Weston area of Bristol, whose death is being treated as murder, was assaulted by a gang wearing "Halloween-style" masks before he collapsed.

Two men, aged 22 and 24, who were arrested on suspicion of murder, were bailed on Monday.

A 28-year-old man, who was also arrested at the same time over the incident, was released on Tuesday.

Witnesses to the robbery which took place on 29 October, at about 1930 GMT, are asked to contact police.
