Bristol Flower Show is cancelled

The show used to take place on Bristol's Durdham Downs

The Bristol Flower Show planned for this weekend has been cancelled, the city council has said.

The event was due to start on Friday at a new location but a lack of sponsorship has been blamed for the show being called-off.

It would have been the first time the festival has been held at the Ashton Court estate.

The show, which is traditionally held on the city's Durdham Downs, has been cancelled for the past two years.
