Man is killed in tanker collision

A 32-year-old man died when the car he was driving collided with a fuel tanker in South Gloucestershire.

Emergency services were called to the B4040 at Acton Turville following reports of the collision on Tuesday.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the Skoda car crossed to the off-side on a right-hand bend. "The driver died at the scene," he added.

Witnesses to the accident, which happened at 0905 BST, are asked to contact police.
