Injured motorway crash man dies

A man who was seriously injured in an accident on the M4 near Bristol has died in hospital.

Shaun Patrick Miller of Wickwar, South Gloucestershire was aged 41, Avon and Somerset Police said.

He was driving a Volkswagen Polo when the accident happened on Wednesday between junctions 19 and 20.

The eastbound carriageway remained closed for several hours after the crash. Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
