Restaurant bins hit by arsonist

A series of arson attacks took place in Bath during the early hours of Wednesday.

Three rubbish bins had been set fire to in the Larkhall area, an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said.

All three were situated outside restaurants in the area, Det Sgt Nick Wilkins added.

"Although the fires did not cause any injury, there was potential that innocent members of the public or the offender could have been hurt."
