Betting dispute man wins £10,500

Roy Thomas
Ladbrokes told Roy Thomas he had not won the £20,000 bet

A man who thought he had won £20,000 after Manchester United won the European Cup has been awarded half by the betting company after a dispute.

Roy Thomas claimed he specified the club would win three trophies, but Ladbrokes insisted the bet did not include the Community Shield match.

The Bristol man will now get £10,500 from the company.

Mr Thomas, who has been betting since he was 18, said: "This is the first time I have ever had any real trouble."

No one was available from Ladbrokes to comment.
