Man sexually assaulted and robbed

A man was sexually assaulted and robbed during the middle of an afternoon in the toilets of a Bristol underpass.

Two men threatened the 30-year-old victim with a sharp object and stole a Sony PSP console from his bag before carrying out the assault.

The victim told police one of his attackers in the St James Barton underpass was white and both spoke with a foreign accent.

The assault happened at about 1545 BST on Tuesday.

Police have urged any witnesses to contact them.

Det Insp Marie Wright said: "This is an exceptionally unusual incident.

"This area is busy during the day and I would appeal for anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the area to come forward."
