Two people hurt in motorway crash

Two people were injured in a crash on the M4 in South Gloucestershire.

The accident, involving a lorry and a car, happened on the eastbound carriageway at junction 18, the turnoff for Bath early on Monday morning.

The emergency services were called to the scene and paramedics treated two casualties.

One lane of the eastbound route was closed for several hours. The accident caused heavy congestion on nearby roads.
