Bus gets stuck under rail bridge

A road has re-opened after a double-decker bus became wedged under a railway bridge near Bristol.

The incident happened at 0900 BST on Saturday on Station Road in Backwell.

The bus, operated by First Bus, was not in service at the time and no passengers were on board. The company said it would hold an investigation.

Engineers from First Bus were on the scene soon after the incident took place and the road has since been cleared.
