Public talks on traffic blackspot

Bishopsworth Road junction Bristol
Plans include traffic islands and wider pavements

A busy crossroads in Bristol where 11 accidents have been recorded in the last three years is the subject of a public meeting.

The accidents have all taken place at the junction of Bishopsworth Road, Church Road, Kingshead Lane and St Peter's Rise.

Proposals by Bristol City Council include new traffic islands and wider pavements and could cost up to £80,000.

Local traders and residents are worried that some plans could increase traffic.

The meeting is taking place at Headley Park Church on St Peter's Rise on 15 October at 1900 BST.
