Elton to perform at cricket club

Sir Elton last performed at Bristol's Ashton Gate in 2004

Singer-songwriter Elton John is to perform at Gloucestershire Cricket Club's County Ground in Bristol on Saturday 13 June, next year.

It will be his first show in the city since his performance at Ashton Gate in 2004, which drew more than 20,000 fans.

Tickets, which will go on sale to the public on 17 October, will not be available from the cricket club direct.

Sales and marketing boss Kevin Ashley said they were "extremely proud" Sir Elton had chosen the club as a venue.
