Town prepares for quad bike race

Mechanical diggers are at work on the beach at Weston-super-Mare preparing for the quad bike races.

Up to 10,000 visitors are expected to visit the resort to watch the action over the weekend.

Some of the world's best riders are expected as well as many enthusiasts from the surrounding area.

"There will also be family-oriented activities, including a beach-run in aid of Cancer research," said a spokesperson for the event.
