Pair steal cash from bookmaker's

Two thieves held up a betting shop and made off with cash on Friday afternoon, police in Bristol have said.

The men threatened staff at the shop in Fishponds Road at around lunchtime, a police spokesman said.

The men were black and described as aged 25 to 30, 5ft 10ins and 6ft with short black hair.

Police believe the incident was connected to a robbery at a betting shop in Moravian Road in Kingswood, near Bristol, on Saturday 23 August.
