Easyjet flight is diverted by fog

An Easyjet flight bound for Bristol was diverted because of fog and poor visibility.

A spokesman at Bristol International Airport said the plane, which took off from Newcastle on Thursday night, had to land at Exeter.

An Easyjet spokesperson said flight EZY573 was diverted before it approached Bristol and no attempt was made to land there.

Passengers were taken by coach back to Bristol from Exeter.
