Detectives revisit murder scene

Detectives investigating the murder of a man outside a pub in Bristol will return to the scene a week on.

Alan Riddock, 41, was attacked outside the Park House pub in Bedminster at around 2000 BST on Saturday 24 May.

Police will speak to people in the St Johns Lane area and stop drivers to appeal for information.

Liam Churchley, 19, of Bristol, has been charged with Mr Riddock's murder. Three other men - aged 22, 39 and 24 - remain in police custody.

A further two men aged 30 and 27 have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 38-year-old man who was with Mr Riddock at the time of the attack is said to be recovering from injuries he sustained in the incident.

Det Ch Insp Nigel Woods said: "We will have the Community Contact Vehicle in St John's Lane on Saturday night and I would appeal for people to search their conscience and come forward to police if they have information.

"We know there are still people out there who have witnessed this unprovoked attack and have not spoken to police.

"Although we may have one man charged and others arrested, we still need as much information as possible from local people, or from people who may have been in and around the Park House last Saturday night."
