Police name pub row death victim

A man who died following a disturbance outside a pub in Bristol has been named by police.

Alan Riddock, 41, died in Frenchay Hospital in the early hours of Sunday following the attack outside the Park House pub in Bedminster.

Three men, aged 30, 27 and 19, are being held in custody.

Det Ch Insp Nigel Woods said: "We believe there would have been a number of people in this area of Bedminster who may have witnessed the attack."

He added: "This was an unprovoked attack on a local family man which has caused him to lose his life."

A 38-year-old man, also injured during the attack, remains in Bristol Royal Infirmary suffering from a stab wound and a broken jaw.

Forensic inquiries are continuing in the area.
