Council withdraws bottled water

Bottled water has been withdrawn from council offices and meetings in Bath & North East Somerset.

The council has decided that providing tap water benefits the environment and saves the local tax payer money.

Councillors have said that measures will be put in place to ensure that the tap water is as clean as possible.

The authority plans to fit filters to cold water supplies and water coolers will be removed once it has worked out the logistics at each location.
