Young people in Bristol who care for an adult relative at home are to get improved support from a specialist development worker.
The person will come from Include, a project by the Children's Society and the Princess Royal Trust for Carers.
It looks at how agencies can improve the way they share information to help young carers.
Currently more than 800 young people are estimated to be caring for an adult in the city.
An appeal has been made for more young people to come forward to secure help at home.
"Over the years the Princess Royal Trust Young Carers service has helped raise my confidence and given me a lot of support," said Bristol Young Carers Voice representative Nathalie, 15.
"If I have any worries I know someone is at the end of the phone and this is very reassuring to me."
A conference on Thursday will look at how all the agencies in the city can improve the way they share information to help young carers.
