Plans to alter a busy roundabout and introduce new bus lanes in Bradley Stoke, South Gloucestershire, have gone out to public consultation.

The changes, to the Aztec West roundabout, are being considered under the Greater Bristol Bus Network plan,

Under the proposals, the carriageway would be widened between Aztec West Business Park and Woodlands Lane.

A new bus lane would then be built to "allow buses to avoid the queues and delays that occur" during rush hours.

The council says there would also be an extra traffic lane on Bradley Stoke Way from Aztec West roundabout to the Woodlands Lane junction.

Traffic coming from Bradley Stoke towards Aztec West roundabout would also be banned from making right turns into Woodlands Lane, a move which has angered some local residents but which the council said would cut congestion on Bradley Stoke Way.
