Banksy fails to sell at auction

Morons
The picture entitled Morons did manage to fetch £5,250

Three prints by the guerrilla artist Banksy have failed to sell at auction.

Bomb Hugger, a girl hugging a missile, as well as Toxic Virgin, and Soup Can (Green), both estimated at £4,000 to £6,000, failed to sell.

Morons, a print that pokes fun at the art establishment, fetched £5,250 - £1,000 more than its estimate.

Napalm, based on the Pulitzer prize-winning image of a Vietnamese girl fleeing her village following a napalm attack, fetched £11,000.

The print CND Soldiers also went under the hammer for £3,750.

Tuesday's sale at Sotheby's also included a collection of rare prints by Henri Matisse.
