Sustainable award for nature site
Water feature at Three Brooks nature reserve
Nine other green spaces were also selected by judges
A popular green space in South Gloucestershire has been recognised for the sustainable way it is managed.

The Three Brooks nature reserve was given an award by Sustainability South West (SSW) as part of its Planting Places campaign.

A council spokesman said the award highlighted the approach it had taken managing the space with the community.

It also used the reserve for educational activities, conservation task days and health walks.

Nine other green spaces were also selected across the South West with the aim of raising awareness of best practice in managing open spaces in a sustainable manner.

The winners were all presented with a specially commissioned piece of artwork for their green space at SSW's annual Local to Regional event.
