Trees cut down in estate grounds
Work has begun to remove four 100-year-old Redwood trees from land in front of Ashton Court mansion near Bristol.

The work is being carried out by the city council to restore the landscape to the original design laid out by Humphry Repton in the 18th Century.

Some residents have objected to the trees being cut down.

The council has taken advice from English Heritage advice and has planted 500 other trees since work started.
