'Cannabis' seized in raid on farm
Police officer guarding the find
Police raided the farm building at Nibley, near Yate, on Thursday
About 1,400 suspected cannabis plants with a street value of 250,000 have been seized in a police raid on a farm building in South Gloucestershire.

Officers found the plants and growing equipment at the address close to Nibley, near Yate, after a tip-off.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the quantity seized would have a "significant impact" on the drugs market locally and further afield.

A man, 28, was arrested and bailed to allow forensic analysis on the plants.
