Townsfolk join culture festival

Thousands of people joined the day-long Festival of Culture in Bradley Stoke in Bristol on Saturday.

The town came together for the free-of-charge celebration at the Community school.

Workshops in African drumming nestled alongside displays of Bollywood dance and an elaborate eco-house promoting sustainable living.

The event also commemorates the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade.
