Man dies after roadworks accident

A man died after falling down a hole at a set of roadworks in Kingswood on Monday morning, police in Gloucestershire said.

Officers were called to the scene in Charfield Road after receiving reports of the accident.

An ambulance crew also attended but the man was declared dead at the scene.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious and both the coroner and the Health and Safety Executive have been informed.
