Planning permission has yet to be secured
Residents are being invited to comment on the first phase of regeneration plans for south Bristol.

Consultation leaflets for the development at Hengrove Park are being delivered to more than 62,000 homes and a series of exhibitions is being held.

A £45m community hospital, a £21m sports and swimming centre and a £30m skills academy are all planned.

The development has still to secure planning permission, with the first application to be submitted in autumn.

Councillor Helen Holland, said: "The views of residents and businesses are crucial to the success of these projects and I hope that people will take this opportunity to contribute to shaping these proposals over the next few months."

The exhibitions are running on:

  • 18 September, 1530 BST at the Action Indoor Sports Centre, formerly Whitchurch Leisure Centre
  • 19 September, 1530 BST at the Gatehouse Centre, Hareclive Road
  • 20 September, 1600 BST at the Knowle West Healthy Living Centre
  • 21 September, 1530 BST, and 22 September at 1000 BST at Asda, Bedminster
