Rider dies in motorway collision
A motorcyclist died after a collision on the M5 near Bristol on Monday evening, police said.

The incident happened between junctions 18 and 19 on the southbound carriageway near the Gordano Services.

The motorbike, which was travelling in the third lane was in collision with the rear of a Jaguar car, resulting in both vehicles losing control.

The motorcyclist slid in the third lane and collided with the central reservation.

The Jaguar also hit the central reservation and was then in collision with a VW Golf car.

The motorcyclist, a 40-year-old man from Bristol, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both car drivers were unhurt in the incident and police have asked for witnesses to get in touch.
