Music festival attracts revellers
Queues
People queued to get in to the event
A weekend music festival in Bristol began later than expected on Saturday after delays in setting up the event.

Up to 30,000 people are expected to attend Ashton Court Festival each day of the weekend.

Organisers asked people to wear sensible shoes after Friday's rainfall, which caused problems with some cars getting around the site.

The churned-up ground also delayed technicians setting up equipment for the bands due to play.

Despite this, many people queued to get in.

Former Blur frontman Damon Albarn and his new band are headlining on Sunday, with The Fall playing on Saturday.

Revellers at this year's event

An enchanted garden and a poetry tent sit alongside the music stages at the festival's new location at Smyth field in Ashton Court, which is closer to the city centre.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge will be shut for the duration of the event.

Festival goers will not be able to bring their own alcohol or beverages in glass bottles on to the site.
