Body found in city centre river
A body has been found floating in a river in Bristol.

Police were called to the river Avon in the Hotwell Road area on Wednesday afternoon after the corpse was spotted by ferry workers.

A police spokesman said early indications showed the body had been in the water for some time.

He added: "There are no further details about the sex or identity of the body or any information as to how it came to be in the water."
