More buses for Christmas shopping
Extra buses are being put on around Bristol to help cope with the Christmas and New Year shopping rush.

Bristol City Council is funding an extra bus between the park-and-ride site in Brislington and the city centre, until further notice.

An eighth bus will run out of the A4 Bath Road Park-and-Ride on Mondays to Saturdays over the festive period.

And the park-and-ride service via the A4174/M32 from UWE will run on a daily basis from Monday.

Councillor Dennis Brown said: "I'd like to thank the hundreds of shoppers who have supported this special park-and-ride so far.

"The increased passengers numbers are great news and have helped reduce congestion and support our city centre retailers."
