Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident
A man has appeared in court after being charged with murder following the death of a man in Bloy Street, Bristol.

Henry Frank Lucaszewicz, 56, from St Pauls, Bristol, was charged with murder and grievous bodily harm with intent.

Mr Lucaszewicz has been remanded in custody to appear back at Bristol Crown Court at a later date.

On Saturday the dead man who was found in a ground floor apartment by ambulance staff in the early hours of Thursday, was named as John Hughes.

Mr Hughes was 64 years old, police said.

Officers have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the incident which is believed to have happened between 1900 and 2000 BST on 11 October.

They are asked to contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
