Barry Wilson was stabbed outside his home
A 30-year-old man has appeared in court charged with stabbing to death a father-of-three on the doorstep of his home in Bristol on Thursday.

Keith Paul Hunt, of Ilminster Avenue, Knowle West, is accused of murdering his neighbour Barry Wilson, 29.

Mr Hunt was remanded in custody by Bristol magistrates and will next appear at crown court on 9 June.

Mr Wilson was allegedly attacked on Tuesday after returning home from a police-sponsored family fun day.

A post-mortem examination showed that he died after being stabbed twice, in the neck and through the heart.

He was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary where he was later pronounced dead.
