Teenagers held after rock attack
Two youths aged 16 and 17 have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after a man was hit with a rock, leaving him critically ill.

The 27-year-old was helping a friend move house in Henbury, Bristol, when the keys to his van were taken.

A group of around 12 youths, aged eight to 17, demanded £10 to return them. When he refused and grabbed one of the gang, he was hit over the head.

The 17-year-old was arrested on Sunday, the 16-year-old a day later.

On Monday an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the injured man was in a stable condition at Frenchay Hospital after suffering a fractured skull and broken jaw in the attack.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the police or Crimestoppers.
