City railway tunnel is opened up
Part of the railway
The last tram ran in 1934
One of Bristol's Victorian attractions was opened to the public for the first time in more than 50 years.

The Clifton Rocks Railway is made up of four tracks inside one 500-ft tunnel linking Hotwells with Clifton, close to the city's Suspension Bridge.

Stairs were built alongside the tunnel, and the BBC broadcast from chambers there during World War II.

The public viewing of some of the railway was designed to raise awareness of restoration work.

The last tram on the railway ran in 1934.
