Favourite possessions of comedy icon Frankie Howerd have been sold at auction for a total of £7,165.
Fans of the Up Pompeii! star packed the Dreweatt Neate auction room in Bristol on Tuesday to watch bidding for 15 lots from his past.
Among the items, a leather joke bag known as his travelling companion sold for £320 and a portrait by royal artist June Mendoza went for £2,500.
The items had been stored at his former Somerset home since his death in 1992.
A spokeswoman for the auctioneers said: "The auction room was full and there were a lot of people bidding for all the lots.
"Frankie Howerd is evidently still a very popular man."
