Race places taken in 10 weeks
Bristol's half marathon race is full
The race has more than trebled in size in the last five years
All places for the 2005 Bristol half marathon are filled - even though the race is not until October.

It has taken just 10 weeks for 12,000 entries to come in - a record for the event says Bristol City Council.

A spokesman said the race's popularity was partly attributable to the way the city hosted the 2001 world half marathon championships.

The race, which has more than trebled in size in the last five years, takes place on 2 October.

The course is the same as last year.
