Burglar escapes from police car

Police urge anyone sighting Karl White to contact them immediately

A convicted burglar has gone on the run after escaping from police custody on Monday afternoon.

Karl White, 22, was with two officers in a police car in the Twenty Acres Road area of Brentry, North Bristol.

Mr White then assaulted one officer before escaping from the car and running off on foot.

He is described as a white man, 6ft tall, and was last seen wearing a grey prison uniform. Anyone seeing him is asked to call police immediately.
