Ring road work to last five days

Work to assess the condition of the A4174 Bristol ring road begins on the eastbound lanes between the Ministry of Defence site and the M32.

The work will be carried out between 0930 GMT and 1530 GMT and some lanes will be closed.

Trial pits will be dug along the carriageway to investigate the highway's construction and to carry out cleaning of the drainage system.

The work will take place on 14, 15, 16, 21 and 22 November.

The emergency services and public transport providers have been notified of the works.
