New flights from Bristol to Leeds and Newquay have been announced.

The new routes are being run by the low cost airline, Air Southwest, owned by Plymouth-based Sutton Harbour holdings.

Malcolm Maylor, managing director at the airline, said: "Our existing routes from Bristol to Manchester, Plymouth and Jersey have proved popular."

Tony Hallwood, from the airport, added: "Leeds is an important link for local businessmen, while for leisure, the new route to Newquay is great news."
