Woman attacked near Bristol park
A man who attacked a 20-year-old woman near a Bristol park, is being sought by police in the city.

The assault happened early on Monday evening on the footpath between Brentry Lane and Royal Victoria Park.

The woman was walking alone when she was approached by the man who dragged her into nearby bushes.

He attempted to indecently assault her but was disturbed by two passers-by who were walking a dog. He is described as tall with light brown hair and stubble.

He was wearing a navy blue baseball cap with a white Nike tick on the front, a white polo shirt and dark jeans.

The lane is believed to be popular with dog-walkers and as a shortcut for local residents.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have witnesses to the incident to come forward.

In particular officers would like to hear from the two passers-by.
