Morph model fails to make reserve

Bidding for a one-off clay model of cult TV character Morph has failed to meet the 1,000 reserve price.

The model, made by Aardman Animations supremo Peter Lord, is being sold to raise money for Bristol charity Children's Scrapstore.

The terracotta icon first appeared on BBC programme Vision On in the 1970s.

Along with the Morph model encased in a glass and wood showcase, Aardman has given the charity an autographed poster of its new Wallace and Gromit film.

"We are thrilled and delighted to receive this gift from Aardman Animations and Peter Lord," said coordinator of Children's Scrapstore Jeff Hill.
