City swimming pools face closure
Speedwell pool
Speedwell swimming pool is one of three in the city which could close
The plug may be pulled on three more of Bristol's swimming pools if draft proposals to replace them are approved.

A cabinet report suggests that after the north Bristol baths shut in November, Speedwell, south Bristol and Filwood pools should also close.

The city council said the aim was to replace outdated, underused pools with high quality, accessible facilities.

Some users, who would have to travel further to swim, are campaigning against the proposals.

The report will be considered by the cabinet on 29 September.
