Stabbed cabbie 'a star in heaven'
Colin and Kelly Winstone
Mrs Winstone said her husband's death was "brutal"
The wife of a taxi driver who was stabbed to death in Bristol has spoken of her family's grief.

Colin Winstone, 44, from Bristol, died after being found lying on Fox Road in Easton, Bristol, on Tuesday morning.

Kelly Winstone, 26, said he was "every woman's dream", adding: "He was devoted to his family, children and work."

She added that she had told their two children their father was now "a star in heaven driving Jesus to Asda in his taxi". A man is being questioned.

Mrs Winstone said she was shocked his death was "so brutal".

But she added: "I am not stunned that this has happened. Nothing surprises me in this country.

"Words can't describe how I feel. Someone just took away a father of two lovely children.

"Everyone who knew him liked him. They have taken away someone who shouldn't have been taken."

Police have until Friday evening to release or charge the 28-year-old suspect.
