Teacher filmed teenagers changing

A teacher who has been found guilty of filming young girls in their underwear could be sent to prison.

Richard Green, 43, of Cock Road, Kingswood, was found guilty on six counts of making an indecent photograph between September 2002 and July 2003.

A jury at Bristol Crown Court took two hours to find him guilty on Tuesday.

Sentencing was adjourned for reports until 18 January and Green was granted conditional bail. Judge David Ticehurst said all sentencing options were open.

Later charged

The court heard Green filmed images of girls in their underwear as they changed for extra-curricular drama classes at a school and at his home.

Green told the jury that classes were often disrupted by young teenagers causing trouble on the school grounds and claimed he had set up the video camera to catch the youths.

The material came to light when some members of the drama group saw one of the video cassettes.

The tape was copied and handed to police and Green was later charged after a search of his home.
